Threatening of life

Someone who had argued with me posted on a website forum with extremely obscene personal attacks and also stated that he will hire someone to have me killed if I dare to tell him where I live. This has caused me considerable personal stress and health problems. I want to know:
1. What are the legal options I have against him? How do i proceed?
2. What are the legal options I have against the website that allowed him to post the message and kept the message there to this date and not banning him?
