Wrong Court Date on Speeding Ticket

My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: Illinois

I received a speeding ticket for going 10 over.

My court date was incorrect. The day I showed up the building was closed.

No new/revised court date was issued.
My license and ticket contain the correct home address.

The next week I filed for a motion to vacate/reopen($40) and given a new date.

Will I be able to contest the ticket due to the incorrect court date?

If not can I atleast receive a discount on the fine (if found guilty) since it was not my fault the court was closed.

I don't understand -- a motion to vacate/reopen is usually only filed when a default judgment has already been entered against you, meaning you didn't show up when you were supposed to. Did you miss the actual court date (as opposed to the erroneous date shown on your ticket)?

yes the case was closed against me.
my ticket said feb 12 but when I called the next day they told me that it was scheduled for feb 13. I took off feb 12 morning and I couldn't take off again feb 13.

I received a letter in the mail a few days later stating that I need to pay the fine or my license would be suspended.

i had court. i talked to the clerk who looked up my file and found that
a letter was in fact was never sent even though the officer changed the date without notifying the court.

i didnt really bring up this whole mess when it was my turn to go up.
i just took the supervision and paid the fine.

I was pulled over on March 15th at 12:07pm for 15 over in the back country roads in North Carolina. The ticket states that I was pulled over at 11:07am on that day. I have many witnesses for being in church at that time. Is there anyway this ticket can be dropped do to a time error.
