Wife Taking the Money

My question involves divorce in the State of: Oregon
I have a friend who is getting a divorce right now, and he has a joint account with his soon to be ex-wife. He has told me that she has been wiping out their joint account. I was wondering if she could do that? Can he say anything to her because its a joint account and not personal account? Can he stop her from doing this continuesly?

Has he spoken with his lawyer about it? Obviously it's as easy for him to empty the account as it is for her, but it's best to approach these things responsibly and with the advice of counsel. It's certainly possible to get a court order restricting how the parties handle their joint assets while the divorce remains pending.
