Discrimination and Unemployment Benefits

What is the procedure as far as verifying eligibility for employment for NC Unemployment Commission?

I filed my unemployment claim on January 23, 2006 and provided them a copy of my valid Work Authorization Card and a Final Order Form from an Immigration Judge in California...granting me Permanent Residence in September 2005.

It's been 2 weeks and they have not verified my eligibility. This is the first time I've ever experienced this.

Do you think I'm being discriminated due to the fact that I'm not a US Citizen?

This is very frustrating....
