Default Aggravated Assault
My question involves criminal law for the state of:
My boyfriend and I got into a fight there was alcohol involved. He choked me and pulled my hair. It got out of hand. I called the cops. And He was charged with aggravated assault. I filled an order of protection and moved out. We no longer drink and are going through counseling. I just want to drop everything and wish to get on with our lives. They say if I do not go to court I could face fines and the state may pick it up the charges. I don’t know what to do or how to address this issue. He is in the military and I do not want his career affected by this issue. I just want everything to stop so we may continue our lives.
