Default Aggravated Assault
My question involves criminal law for the state of:
My boyfriend and I got into a fight there was alcohol involved. It got out of hand. He was charged with aggravated assault. We no longer drink and are going through counseling. I just want to drop everything and wish to get on with our lives. They say if I do not go to court I could face charges and the state may pick it up. I don’t know what to do or how to address this issue.

Default Re: Aggravated Assault
You are not pressing charges. The DA is.

You are merely a witness. One that will be subpoenaed in court and required to show up.

Roughly 75% of all victims of DV recant their testimony. DA's have learned not to listen too much.
