Default Passing Bad Checks. Possible Fraud Charges
My question involves criminal law for the state of: NY

I was recently arrested on charges for writing 2 bad checks. I have paid the amount I owed and my court date is approaching. I was wondering what was going to happen if I needed a lawyer etc. I had a job a the time of the arrest but have since lost it due to the arrest. What do you think will happen?

I wrote a check in 2006 and it was paid in the past as well.

I suggest consulting a criminal defense lawyer. This goes doubly if you were prosecuted over that 2006 incident as well.
