Question First Offense Embezzlement and Burglary
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

Someone I know recently got arrested on a few warrants. 1 felony embezzlement, and 6 counts of felony burglary.

That said, I have two questions.

Do the charges on the arrest warrant/report mean those are what this person is being formally charged with?

This person seems to think they will get community service because it is a first offense. I know you guys are not fortune tellers, but from experience, with multiple charges, what are the chances of getting off lightly?

Thank you.

Charged, yes.

However, the DA still has the ability to drop or modify the charges prior to court.

For seven felonies?

Give us the statute numbers... stranger things have happened, but jail time is a definite possibility.

For the 1, it's 504 and for the 6 it's 459.
