Transfer of Guardianship

My question involves guardianship in the State of: Virginia

I am trying to find out how I can take over guardianship for my Mother who has a mental illness. Currently my Mother's Sister is her Guardian only because of my parents getting a divorce a while ago. She is mean to my Mother, manipulative, and crazy. I don't want her controlling my Mother anymore. Is there any way I can take over the guardianship if my Aunt doesn't want me to?
