First I am hoping someone here will be able to provide information although I am in Alberta,Canada.
Capital One has hired a lawyer/solicitor to contact me and tell me basically I am about to be sued. The letter states to make payment asap, or I can expect to be seen in court and have a baliff show up at my door and sieze my assests.
What I would like to know is, the following:
1.) Can they legally sue me if I have been making regular payments on this credit card?
(I have all the bank information to prove this)
2.) Am I correct in my thinking that they must have a judgement against me inorder for anything to be seized?
(The letter implies that it will just happen.)
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
