Unhappy Domestic Violence Penalties in Alabama
My question involves criminal law for the state of: DV 3rd charges.what are usually the circumstances on that kind of charge?Its my 1st offense and the other person didnt press charges,The state picked it up,I stayed a couple of days in jail....alabama

If you're asking what's likely to happen to you, it depends upon the facts. A lot of jurisdictions offer a deferral for a first offense domestic violence charge. If you don't get that, it appears that DV 3rd is a "Class A misdemeanor", with a minimum term of imprisonment of 48 hours in a city or county jail or detention facility.
