Assault in Canada
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Canada
4 days ago me and my friend and his girlfriend where drinking in are apartment (me and my friends) things took a turn for the worst my friend who hasn't had any alcohol in a very long time had a bit to much i did something i shouldn't have done and he went off he says he doesn't remember anything and latter found out he bruised his girlfriend she has called him a few times sense and he has kept his distance he apparently slammed her against the wall and hit her i don't know where or how hard though. her parents are pressing charges on him what are his options and what are the consequences. he has no past problems with the law and has never hit anyone before.
