My question involves animal law for the State of: Minnesota

I was just wondering about the enforceability of pet adoption contracts in Minnesota. I just got back from actually signing the adoption contract and while I don't plan to violate any of the terms of the contract, some of the terms seem like they might be difficult to enforce.

Looking at the contract, it makes the adopter (and immediate family) the sole owners of the pet, but then there is a condition about the adopter being able to transfer ownership and then a hefty list of fines for various things like not feeding the pet the proper food (actually listing certain brands of pet food that are not acceptable.)

Overall, I'm not too happy with the pet adoption agency (not because of the contract, but for other reasons) and in hindsight wish I hadn't signed the contract.

Anyway, just curious about whether or not the adoption contract might actually be enforceable in Minnesota.
