Question Will Drug Charges be State or Federal

My question involves criminal law for the state of: illinois

DEA investigators came to my house the other day and said that they had proof of 10 counts of prescription fraud on me for a class III drug. I admitted to it ,and they told me that they would be getting back with me. They said it could take up to 2 months for anything to happen. They told me when they hear something they will let me know. I know that these guys will tell you anything to not make you a flight risk or worry you. I am just wondering if these charges are going to be state or federal? They said that the Dr. I used to work for had contacted them about this. When can I expect a warrent?

You need to NOT talk to anyone except your own attorney which you should have by now.

Federal charges are what you are up against as the DEA came to pay you a visit.

When they have all the info against you that they need, we can't predict when this will be. I also don't think they were just telling you stuff to keep you from leaving, I'm sure they meant every word of it. Get that lawyer.
