Wife Wants to Add New Husband's Name to Child's Name
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Ohio i have two questions.1.My ex-wife is plan on married a guy she with and she is planning on adding her boyfriends last name to my daughter last name.i am the father of the child i'm deeply concern if she can do this or not? And 2nd question is whats is the chance of a father winning full custody of the child?

She cannot.
If she decides not to go through the courts and just puts the new last name on the child, take her back to court.
In fact, if you know this is coming, you may want to have your lawyer send her attorney a quick note saying, "Hey... I hear that your client is trying to replace her legal father via a name change. What court date is good for you?"

She cant change the last name without your permission. And as far as father gaining custody its a good chance because my husband just did it in Texas.

While happy for your husband, it is worth noting that other than the fact there are two parents and at least one child involved in both cases, the rest of the facts surrounding the battle (including applicable law) is different.
Therefore, an ex getting married is NOT an automatic change in custody... even a BS try at changing a name is not automatic... though, it certainly doesn't look good.

I quit smoking a month ago. I'm using nicotine patches, but unfortunately, it's messed with my depression meds, so I've been a little "off" lately. But, I'm getting better, I'll be posting more often now.
