I am done being nice as well. Your trying to get compensation for the family? I sure hope you haven't gotten their hopes up bc I don't see anything good coming out of what your doing.
Your making an attempt to drum up a lawsuit. Your goal is also an unrealistic one. EVEN IF you find this mysterious driver, you have NO case against them. You have no proof that the accident was a direct result of his death. Do you have a copy of the autopsy? No. You can't or wont even answer the simplist question like...what state your from.
I think someone hit the nail on the head....smells like homework.
The title of the thread says is a lawsuit "possible," meaning I have my own doubts. Therefore, I made this thread to see if others can see some possibilities that I have not. However, most replies seem to share my doubts. I like to see some replies that show some possibilities.
There really aren't any.
It has been too long.
There is no causal connection between the accident and the injury.
There is no proof of an accident.
There is no DEFENDANT.
There is no case.
Unless you know Scooby Doo's number and can get those meddling kids on the case, there is nothing to do.
You cannot bring a civil liability suit against an unknown party.
And even if you had a party...you have no case.
If you feel the need to support this family somehow, you should consider getting a second job...thats about the only possibility here.
I am just wondering can the friend who took the information promising to help the family then claimed to lost it, can he claim anything for himself? Can he go out and file a claim and gain something without the family knowing?
