Default Waiting for Payment
It can take a while for insurance companies to issue checks - they profit, after all, from the "float" - and a month is not that unusual. If your settlement doesn't set a deadline for payment, it seems unlikely that a month's delay in payment would be deemed so unreasonable as to form a basis for having it set aside.

Have you consulted with your lawyer about the delay?
