Step Parent Forcing Husband's Child to Pay Rent

My question involves myself, my dad and my step-mom.

To make a long story short, my step-mom and dad are separated, not legally, but just to "open their eyes". One of the stipulations my step-mom made in order for her to come back home was that i had to move out of the house because their marriage would not work with me under the roof. My dad does not want me to leave, nor does he want to charge me rent. She is saying she will take it to court and have the judge order me to pay HER rent in a home where she doesn't even pay a penny toward the house payment.

I understand that legally everything is 1/2 hers because they are married, but since its 1/2 my dads as well, can she force me to pay her rent if my dad is saying no?

I am 19 years old, work full time Monday-Friday and am a full-time student.

I dont know if its legal but it sounds dumb. I just don't understand why you would want to stay there if that is the type of person she is. I would want to move out. But I don't see how she could take it to court. It would seem like she would be wasting everyones time....

Shes ASSUMING a lot here. Personally, I think she'll get yelled at by the judge. How much trouble could you be causing if you work M-F and go to school fulltime?
Christ, I never see my kid and she only works 25-30 hrs and goes to school fulltime. I have to make an appointment to yell at her to clean her room!

Tell your father to go ahead and let her take him or you to court. Maybe than your father will she what her true colors are. I can never understand what anyone would think they could gain by putting a child against a parent.

On a side note, tell your dad to nut up. Regain his manhood and do what he wants to do not what she wants him to do.
