    Question PI and Probation

My question involves private investigators in the state of: New York

In 2007, my sons ex-girlfriend broke into his apartment and tried to hurt him. She was arrested on the site and to make a long story short, she ended up with a felony on her record with a suspended sentence and probation. A restraining order was issued and she hasn't acted up too much since until lately.

My son went to court and was granted custody of their child and she has some visitation rights. All is good with that, and he has let her see the child when its possible and she's behaving herself.

She's starting to become a problem again. I don't want to go into details but she causes my son an awful lot of grief still.

I know for a fact that she is breaking her probabation and its a matter of time before she gets caught and ends up in jail. She's got a drinking problem and is always out at the bars after her curfew. For a number of reasons, including getting her away from my grandchild, I would love for this time to come a little sooner.

My question is can I hire a PI to follow her around a little, document where she is and what she is doing and then submit that to her probation officer?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Sure can.

Anyone dealing with an ex issue should always seek an outside professional who is considered an independent expert and objective observer.

A licensed Private Investigator is an objective observer who has no stake in either party as they get paid whether they observe their Subject or not.

I just finished a similar case as yours and it proved fruitful.
