Angry Putting Fathers Name on Birth Certificate

My question involves paternity law for the State of: Nevada

I am trying to find out how I can put my name on my sons birth certificate. I was there at the time of birth and signed all the papers. But just yesterday found out that my name is not on the birth certificate. Of course, the baby mama wants to give excuses at to why my name is not on there. Please let me know what I can do. Since I am the father and paying child support I should at least be on the birth certificate.

It appears that the problem is she threw out the documents, probably including an affidavit of parentage, that you completed the first time, and filed documents that didn't identify the father.

Without mom's cooperation? File a paternity action.

With her cooperation? Get a notary and then you and the mom can complete an acknowledgment of paternity that you can then file. You can either complete the document, take mom to a notary, and both sign it there, or (at a much greater cost) bring a notary to mom's location. The latter, of course, risks that she'll refuse to sign and you'll still have to pay the notary's fee.
