Default Quitclaim Deed vs Medi-Cal Estate Recovery

My question involves estate planning in the state of: CA

Hi, I would appreciate some information.

my parents bought the house and later add me to the title as joint tenants, in 02/2005, they did a quitdeed claim passing the ownership to me, I have been paying taxes etc on the house, on 01/2006, my parents started to receive medi-cal, my question is, after they pass away, will the the state go after my house to recover the medi-cal cost under "medi-cal estate recovery program" or they can not since they already give up the ownership?

    thanks
    dave
