Question Disablity Insurance Late on Payment
My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: WA
Disability insurance pays on loan 2-4 weeks after loan's due date. Recently they paid 31 days after the payment was due. Credit union reported it, it dinged my credit.
When I asked credit union if they could fix it, take it back, they told me there was nothing i could do, " It is in complete compliance with the fair credit reporting act".
* have had loan for 5 1/2 years. never late
*disability has been making pmts for 1 1/2 years

Is there anything I can do to get the late payment off of credit?

Here is a sample letter you can use, just adjust it to fit your situation, it does work in most cases;

Just follow this link to a post where I have several letters you can use;
