Retail Theft under 20 dollars - What should i Expect?

Hey everyone.

I was arrested for shoplifting today it was a 13.99 cd.

from target.

i'm 17, and i got a city charge rather then a state charge or w/e the heck that is...

what should i expect? a fine? jail time?

and will this keep me from gettin a job? will it stay on my record? because the cop said it wont go on my perminanent record, so what record does it go on?

i need help with this, please give me some reply's
