Default Vandalism Charges With No Court Date Yet

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

A few friends back in April of 2008 bashed in car windows and did some damage. They were questioned by police and they admitted their guilt and have attempted to pay restitution, however didnt sign a confession. The offenses just recently showed up on their record, but they havent been supenaded to court. It says their charged with four felony counts of vandalism over 400 dollars. Will they still be charged if the court date never gets set, or if their not issued to appear? Also, there were 6 people involved, however one person was not named in the court records, but they were involved as well. How does this work? What will the charges be? I need answers quickly! Thank you.

You just said they've been charged. We can conclude from that only one thing: They've been charged. They are, according to you, cahrged with four counts of felony vandalism over $400. I expect they will soon learn of their court dates.
