Can You Get a Driver's License Suspension Erased After License is Reinstated

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: WI'

I got a letter Friday from the Dept. of Motor Vehicles dated December 29 that my license was suspended because I failed to pay a traffic ticket. I totally forgot about this ticket and indeed did not pay it.

I went today and paid the ticket and reinstated my license.

Is it possible to reopen the case and get the suspension removed from my record or reversed? I am in law school and would rather not have to ever report that my license was suspended (nor do I want this on my insurance).

Interestingly enough, I was pulled over on January 2 because I had no plates on my new car and the officer did not say anything about a license suspension.

Is it possible that the suspension was not entered in yet?

Your license was suspended, so a record of your suspension is accurate. I am not aware of any state that will remove accurate information from your driving record.

It's possible that the officer's computer didn't turn up the suspension on January 2, or that for some reason he didn't catch it.
