My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: PA
My son amputated his thumb at work this past summer. Since then he has had 3 surgeries and numerous follow up visits. The hospital and transplant surgeon are 250 miles away, round trip. My question is: Is Workman's comp required to pay for his milage to the doctor visits and hospital?
Not only am I paying the gas money and travel expenses, he does not drive, but I am also needing to take off work to go on these trips. It is an all day affair, 5 hour drive round trip, plus waiting at the office.
Thanks for you help
