Default Can I disown my brother?
My brother and I havn't spoken for several months. He claims that I "blew him off". I decided to take another job and didnt require him to make a web page for a business I was going to start. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact him, but he will not answer my calls, and even changed his e-mail address. This is not the first time that he has played this game of not speaking to me. Our parents are elderly and it is tearing them up inside because of us not getting along. I am the kind of person who will apologize , even if I am in the right, just to keep the peace, which I have done. He will talk to our other relatives about this, but not me. I am tired and very hurt, and just want to move on. I think it would be better if I came to the conclusion that I don't have a brother. I would like to disown him. Can I legally do so in Colorado?

Default Disowning a Relative
The concept of "disowning" relates primarily to a will - you "disown" or "disinherit" somebody you don't want to receive a portion of your estate.

You can effectively disown your brother simply by having nothing more to do with him.
