    Default Firing a Lawyer Before the New Attorney Can Appear in Court

    I've hired a new attorney but he can't stand in as subsistute this morning....he has told me to tell the judge this and have him continue the case until tomorrow when he can be there.....i am scared to talk to the judge can i give him a letter......also do i fire the attorney before he goes on record as the attorney today or after i tell the judge?
