Mothers Consent for Paternity Test

My question involves paternity law for the State of: Iowa
Is it legal for my ex to have obtained a paternity test without my consent? He is not on the birth certificate and I am the baby's only guardian.

Your consent isn't required if the paternity test was in answer to a court's order. Did you voluntarily give him access to the child, such as visitation; or if not, how did he get such access to the child to have the test performed?
