Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me. I was given a citation for DWLS/Financial Responsibility. What is Financial Responsibility? Is it the same as DWSL or different? Is it a lesser charge? The statute the Officer cited me for is Financial Responsibility, he told me to get my License reinstated (which I did) and go to court. What happens then? Will the dismiss the charge once I show them I have a valid drivers license now, can I get a reduced charge, maybe just an infraction and pay a fine or am I looking at any conviction and jail time? I have a good driving record. Please can anyone answer my questions. Should I consult an attorney. Thanks
