I have the same question regarding rights , child support , etc. ... State of Louisiana
My son has a daughter 9 years old ( proven paternaty thru DNA ) and is never allowed vistation . Court ordered to pay child support and ins. for a child that he has no contact with not whatsoever .
All he is to this mother and child is SUPPORT AND INS. for this minor child . The mother is not nor has ever been married . She lives off of child support and welfare . IF he gives up his paternal rights , DOES that cancel ALL SUPPORT AND INS. ?
The mother of this child has a sister that is an attorney and sister says NO it does not cancel the support at all . I am questioning this , because I think her response to this question was biese and naturally only in favor for her sisters welfare .
How does he go about filing for termination of rights ? SO , 3 questions ...
1. How does he do this ?
2. Does the mother have to agree to termination , or does a judge ?
3. and does that cancel all child support and ins. on the child ?
