Unpaid Medical Bill

I was in an accident almost 4 years ago. The person who caused the accident had no insurance and I didn't have uninsured motorist coverage. I'm still paying for some of the medical bills. However one of the bill that I thought was paid by my PIP was not. We had never received a bill from them. They were a radiology office and they just sent us a bill olmost 4 years ater showing a bill of $1,046.07 with PIP having paid $926.67 back in May of 2005 and billing us for $209.21, which includes late penalty. We found out that this company filed for bankrupcy in No. 0f 08. Do we have to pay this after so much time?

As you were told when you posted, laws are different in each state and you have to identify your state. Whether or not they can still collect depends upon the laws of the state where this occurred. Please fill us in.
