Child Support for a Disabled Teenager

My question involves child support in the State of: Arizona

I started paying child support for my 17yr old daughter a year ago. I am supposed to pay till June of 09 when she graduates high school. All this was brought upon us by the state of AZ, me & the mother had our own agreement & i sent her moneys when she needed it, no problems between us at all. My daughter got into an accident after the paperwork was signed & she is now paralyzed & in a wheelchair. How will this affect my child support? Do i still pay until the date it says or do things change now? I am going to be there regardless but just wondering what is going to happen.

If child support is modified and extended based upon your child's disability, you will pay support pursuant to the modified order. If not, your support obligation will remain governed by the present order.

So who would order this if it was to, mother or state?

Child support orders are issued by courts.

Not sure of the law in AZ. but the mother could have a new modification hearing. Do to this awful situation you may still pay for your daughter when she turns 18 and after because of her limitations.

Your daughter is, I would think able to receive disability benefits, may want look into that if you haven't already.

How much after? She is already 18 as of last October.
