    Default HOV Violation 21655.5

Wondering if its worth going to court to argue or hope for a lesser fine for a HOV Violation 21655.5. A friend and I were driving from Oakland to SF on a week night after 7pm and were cited for driving in the carpool lane. I take carpool everyday and am almost positive that there is a sign stating that carpool hours end at 7pm but perhaps we were mistaken. Thoughts?

I'd jump in my car and take a look. I'm fairly familiar with that 'stretch' of road and I think you may be right.....but I'm not sure. On the other hand, it would seem odd that the cop wouldn't know..did you ask?
