My question involves adoption law for the State of: California

I would like to know how difficult it is to adopt my fiances daughter if we aren't married yet?

Almost impossible. Where is child's Father? Will he release his rights? When are you getting married?

He tried to give up his rights in the past but we weren't in a point in our relationship to do this. we were planning on waiting until middle of 2009 to get married when she finishes school. But if we have to do so sooner thats not a problem to do whats best for her daughter. We believe that the bio father will release his rights again just so that he doesn't have to pay any child support.
