Default How and on What Grounds May I Achieve Emancipation

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: New Jersey

I am an 18 year old male living in the state of New Jersey. I can't stand living in my house anymore with my family. I get into arguments constantly with my family with the usual result being me getting beat by my father. Everyone, especially my father, believes that I am stupid and that my words have no meaning. How, and under what grounds, may I achieve Emancipation in the state of New Jersey?

You're 18, the legal age of majority.

You're legally a grown up. Move out, already.

My chief concern is that my father will not allow this. He would be more than happy to beat me if he found out that I was considering moving out.

Move out. If he tries to beat you, call 911.

Your father doesn't have to allow anything - you are a legal adult. If he wanted you OUT he could evict you, but he has absolutely ZERO legal standing to make you stay. Pick up your stuff and go. Go when he's not home if you want to avoid confrontation, or, pack your stuff and call the police when you're ready to go and ask them to do what's called a "domestic standby" to keep your father from interfering with your leaving.
