    Default Moving Price Agreed on then Bill Comes Four Times the Agreed Amount

    My question involves business law in the state of: Michigan

    I had hired a equipment moving company to move some items from one location to another location and i was told by there sales person that it would be $100 and hour for there services and i received the bill and and it is more like $300-400 per hour for the services.

    I disputed the bill but nevertheless i have been sued for the bill know. What type of recourse do i have to defend my self know when there is not contract in writing but there bills say per quote wich none was given.

    Please let me know what i can do

    you defend yourself with your word and the will seek a judgment based upon their word.

    they did provide you a quote: $100/hour. Now, we have no way of knowing what else was said so it is impossible to really offer much advice. When you head to court, present your understanding of the contract and they wills do the same. The magistrate or judge will make the determination as to whom is correct and rule accordingly.
