Landlord tampering with leases

I believe that my landlord has physically altered my lease. What rights do I have if she has and I can prove it? Does that void all the conditions of my lease? What type of penalties does she face if I can prove that she has altered my lease? Thanks for your comments.

If you can prove the lease was changed, you can enforce the original provisions. Making changes may be actionable as fraud, or a violation of consumer protection laws, or some other state law; if you wish to take legal action, consider discussing your situation with a local lawyer.
