Transfer of Deceased's Title

My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: Illinois

My girlfriend's uncle passed away, and wanted me to have his vehicle. His mother is now the executor of his estate, and she signed the title over to me and signed it. I also have a notarized document saying she has power of attorney and is the executor.

I called the secretary of state's office however, and became very confused by the lady on the phone, who seemed to feel I didn't have enough documents. I was directed to a state website that only confused me further.

What exactly do I need to transfer this title into my name?
