Lightbulb Pregnant, Engaged, Can I Get Emancipated

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: OHIO

Currently, I'm 16 but will turn 17 February 7 2009 and my fiance will turn 18 January 18. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I know that this will go horribly wrong if I tell my mother. I plan to anyway, but I cannot keep living in the house considering my father and I have never gotten along and dislike each other alot and my brother is going to Juvie soon. I was wondering since I'm pregnant, I could get married without parental consent in another state like Kentucky and then get emancipated in Ohio. I've done alot of research but can't find the right answers. Any help?

No. You can't runaway and get married in another state that you are not a legal resident of. As a matter of fact if your boyfriend were to take you across state lines he would be facing Federal Charges.

Pregnancy makes it MORE difficult to qualify for emancipation, not less. And most if not all states have closed the loopholes that allow a pregnant teenager to avoid her own state loopholes and marry in a state where she is not a resident.
