What Happens If the Officer Doesn't Show

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: CA

My court trial for allegedly "turning right on red without making a complete stop" is on Tuesday. If the officer doesn't show, how exactly do I need to state the request for dismissal?

How about, "Your honor, as the officer is not present and the prosecutor is unable to proceed, I request that this case be dismissed."

The judge may ask if you are able to come back to court. Your answer should be "NO". If the prosecution has failed to produce a witness, then the case should be dismissed.
