    Default Pregnant Teen Wants to be Emancipated

    im 9 weeks pregnant. im 16. i live with my mom and sister in california.
    my boyfriend is moving to oregon in a few months for school. i dont want to be left alone or raise this baby alone. is there such thing as being emancipated because im pregnant? or can i be emancipated without my moms permission so that i can have my boyfriend around for the baby... how would i go about getting emancipated? help!!

    Default Emancipation in California

    You can't emancipate just because you are pregnant, but if you and your boyfriend marry (lawfully) you will automatically become emancipated.

    If you wish to emancipate yourself, you need to commence a legal action for emancipation at your county court. More information is available here.
