My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: FL
I have recently moved to florida from illinois and applied for a out of state drivers license transfer. I have received a temporary license on paper and suggested by the Florida DMV official that I will receive the permanent DL in mail and said I can use the paper license and also can provide the license # to the insurance company. I have provided my FL license number to my auto insurance as well.
Two days later I relieazed that my date of birth was wrongly entered by the DMV representative and when I went to the DMV office. they said it can be only changed once I receive the permanent license card and asked me to wait for it to receive.
To my surprise I received a letter of cancellation of my auto insurance stating that my license is either revoked or suspended. I verified my license status online and found that it is cancelled and no reason was mentioned. Since today is an holiday I was unable to contact any of the Florida DMV customer support to confirm.
Anyone who have knowledge, kindly confirm if it can be possible that my license is cancelled due to invalid date of birth and what will be the process to get it corrected and get my license re-instated.
