My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
I am on 10year deferred adjudication sex offender probation. I have served 5years without getting in trouble. I have passed every lie detector test, paid all fines and community service, have had some sex offender rules dropped, and earned 2 Computer Science degrees. I was 25 and living young and dumb! As if I was still 18 and slept with a 16 year old I met at a party (consensual). I am now 31 and have greatly matured and am looking for a way to put this all behind me only to find there is no solution for recovery from a mistake like this. I cannot get a professional job in my new field of work nor can my actions earn me a second chance. I sometime wonder if our law makers wanted a person to be able to recover from a mistake like this.
My question is, is it legal for me to get off probation early in the state of Texas? If so how?
