Default How Do I Protect Myself and My Family

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: NY

I live in NYS and I have a 17 yr old teen who is out of controll and will do anything to get what she wants! She plays back and forth with me and her bio father. She recently called CPS on me stating I threw her out but I had a message on my phone from her stating she was not coming home and she no longer lived here and she was going back to her dads all because she stole money from my other two childrens (her half sisters) piggy banks and we grounded her. She came here with her dad and 2 sheriffs to get her stuff, She has been gone know for a week and 2 days......Today I get a phone call from her stating she wants me to sign emacipation papers (which she does not quilfy for) to let her go, and she is leaving her fathers house also and going to stay at a friends. And if I dont call her probation officer and tell her its ok for her to stay at her friends house she will call CPS again and tell them Im refusing to allow her to come back to my house (not true, I know the law and can not do tha. Do I want her here? No for the saftly of my other children) What can I do? PLEASE ADIVICE!!!!

I have and she is violating her on drug use but she is 17 and she said no court will put her in a home....The laws in this state states at the age of 16 a child can leave the home if they wish BUT when they want to come back we the parents have to let them or we can be arrested....

Ok so what will be result of violation? By the way I suspect her not living wher probation says is an additional violation. You might have sit down with probation officer and Dad (Yes I said Dad) to discuss what in her best interest and others

Contact Probation Officer tell him everything. Spare nothing. By the way you might pass this on to her. Its my understanding NY has no statute for emancipation even if she qualified which she is nowhere near

There is no statute (law) for emancipation which make sit more difficult for the teen wanting this. She is not even close to qualifying so its a non issue even if she did try and you signed. Once more talk to PO about options

Thats just lovely....I love how these teens can use the system to get what they want....I understand that laws need to be made to protect a child but what about laws to protect parents who have unconrollable teens.....again
    Thanks for your help
