My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: California
I was traveling on a toll road and it has a 30% incline downhill. Moderate traffic all going at the same pace down the hill.
At the bottom is a slight bend and that's where the officer was sitting in his car.
He pulled out conducted the stop and issued a ticket for exceeding 65mph.
I asked why me when everyone was traveling at the same pace and he replied that I was the one he was pointing the radar at.
Does this fall under the speed trap category at all ?
It would actually be unsafe to be driving at 60 when all the surrounding traffic was 75-85mph around me.
Any advice is much appreciated on this as my driving record is finally completely spotless, my insurance is low and I was just unexpectedly laid off my work and paying the fine isn't really doable and I'd have to do community service to cover the fees.
