Can a 17 Year Date a 14 Year Old

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: california. i was wondering if it was against the law for a 17 year old boy to date a 14 year old girl

By "date", you mean, "hold hands, maybe kiss on the mouth, and nothing more"? Sure. But her parents can still say "no" and tell you to go away.

But so much as try for second base, and you could be looking at jail time.
