Denying an Out-of-State Felony Conviction

My question involves a background check in the State of: Florida

I was convicted in NY and served 1 yr for each charge of endangering the welfare and attempted burglary. I stayed in Nassau county jail for each yr. I now currently live in Fl and when asked on applications if i have ever been convicted of a felony, I put No and take the chance when the background check is run.
My question is this, why is it that my felony shows up sometimes and other times it doesnt when i apply to jobs.
Was it because I didnt do state time?
Will it show up on a 10 yr background check?

You should always tell the truth on employment applications - do not lie. Employers will not hire an applicant for sure if they lie on the application & they pick it up & most likely they will.

What will show up on a background check depends on how thorough of a background check the employer does.

It shows sometimes and not other times because different companies ask different questions.

It will show on a ten year check if it was less than ten years ago and if that's what employers check.

You are making a big mistake by lying. Many employers will forgive a single mistake. Few if any will forgive being lied to. If you are caught, you immediately go into the do-not-hire pile, and if you are hired before it is caught, it is grounds for immediate termination (and in many states you'd be disqualified for unemployment too). Then you have no job, probably no benefits, and have to explain to prospective employers why you were fired.
