Unhappy I Had a Bad Divorce Attorney - Can I Do Anything Now?

My question involves divorce in the State of: Kansas

Can some one help me or send me in the right way? I had a bad divorce attorney. He never retuned my calls or e-mails in a reasonable amount of time. Never told me about court dates. He never went over things I should ask for like things I would need in the further for my child or things I should think of. He made decisions with my exs attorney with out asking me fist. At the time of the divorce I had a stocking order and restraining order on my ex I feared for my life and my 3 year olds life. So my mind was not in the right place to thing of things I should of asked for. At the time I thought my attorney would suggest things that I would need since this was my first divorce. Now he just dropped me saying that he sold his practice. I did not get a thing in the divorce like making my ex help me pay for life insurance for my child or coving her for insurance and now I just found out that my ex did not pay for taxes out of 3 yours of 5 year we wear together. The divorce is final. Is there any way I can redo my divorce because my attorney did not know what he was doing? I don’t know what to do I am 25 and its just me and my little girl I have no family to help me what do I do from hear?

Usually, when you hire a bad lawyer and stick with a bad lawyer, you don't get to punish the other side for your poor choice of lawyer. If you want to know what, if any, recourse you have, pull your case file together and seek a consultation with another (but more competent) divorce lawyer. You could also consult a lawyer who handles legal malpractice cases.
