Overstaying

hi!!can someone help me,please!!!i need some advices!
well,i came to america with a j-1 visa and overstayed for 5 months,that happend 1 year ago.for some reasons i had to come back to my country and i didn't have any problems at the airport when i left the usa(no stamp in my passport with deport or something like that?!!).in the meantime i got married and have my last name changed!
now,i wanna come back there,into the usa!an american familly wants to help me.
question:
1.will i have any problems entering the usa now,that i have another name or should i tell them about my overstay?!
2.how can the american familly help me?is it possible to come as a student(with their help?!)
3.my husband had his visa canceled(tourist visa for 10 years) and have been sent back home, because they found out he was working there ilegally.would it be a problem for me to enter the usa?!

Your overstay has likely triggered a three year period of ineligibility to reenter the United States, as well as making you ineligible for the visa waiver program (if you're from a country that participates in that program). Consult an immigration lawyer to explore your options.
